NMQHA Mission Statement: The purpose of the Association shall be to promote in all ways the interest of Quarter Horse owners in Northern Michigan; and to promote the American Quarter Horse Association (AQHA) and Michigan Quarter Horse Association (MQHA) approved shows in Northern Michigan and to assist interested parties in putting on these shows.

The NMQHA banquet was held the first Saturday in December at Bob Murray’s Four Season’s Resort in Kalkaska. The food was first class, and the attendance was great for a snowy weekend. Many of our members stayed the night. Wonderful stories were shared around the fireplace, while the wind howled outside. Thanks to Bob Murray for his hospitality, Sue Sherman for the great awards, and to all others who helped out.

In order to be eligible for the All-Around you must:

- Join NMQHA before you can accumulate points.

- Show and place a minimum of 3 times.

- Placings must be in 3 AQHA categories (For categories see AQHA rule book section 417, page 102 and 103.
